Lucy & Chloe {Sneak Peek}

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to take some pictures of Joyce and her two dogs, Lucy & Chloe. We had such a great time running around and it really made me want to get a dog :) I hope you enjoy!

Joyce wanted to get some shots for her Halloween cards so we had to bring out he pumpkins and costumes....too cute!

Evidently this costume is very fitting for her personality.... :)

The Many Faces of Donovan

Here are some great pictures of Donovan from a recent family session. Donovan and his mom Kelley met my in Norfolk last week and we had such a great time! He was such a ham the whole shoot and it was so much fun capturing all of his funny faces. Donovan took control of the session about half way through, deciding where to take the pictures and how he would pose for them {I have to say they are some of the best shots from the session :) }

This week's {Sunday Snapshot} is from Sarah & Sam's wedding from yesterday. It was a beautiful wedding---with one of the most amazing sunsets I've seen in a while--and I cannot wait to post the {Sneak Peek} later this week.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's birthday, so I just wanted to saw a quick Happy Birthday. Without my mom, I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would not be the person I am today, the kindness and strength she has shown my whole life gives me something to really strive for. Both as a mother and a woman she has been an amazing role model for me. If I become half the person she is today, I will be very grateful.

She has raised {in my opinion} three wonderful children, and we couldn't be luckier to have a mom like her. Thanks for everything Mom we love you! Happy Birthday!

So...When we headed down to the beach we knew the weather wasn't that great---but we were really excited about some water shots, so we headed there anyway. While I was shooting I could hear the thunder rumbling behind me....but when I turned around and saw this---I was just amazed! This picture was taken with an on camera flash and has not been photoshopped in any way (ok, maybe some cropping, but that is it :) )
