Addicted? **Updated**

So I know this post might not be wedding related; however, I have become entirely obsessed with the Twilight series! I don't know what it is about these books---but once I started reading them, I was HOOKED. Maybe it is how perfect Edward Cullen is---or maybe it is the beautiful love story---or maybe it is just written so that suckers like me can't put it down!

For instance: Last week I was super sick---and I was in bed for days. Even though I could barely keep my eyes open it did not stop me from reading the 2500+ page series. And now that I am thinking about it.... I am pretty sure that is all I did for a few days {ek}. Now that I am done---I just want to read them again.

And I know what you are thinking...."Why in the world would I want to read about vampires?" Here is my brief explanation: First and foremost, I am not into Science Fiction. It's just not my thing. The book is not just about blood sucking evil vampires....It is a brilliant love story that is made so much more powerful because he is not human. :) It is written so that you feel what each of the characters are experiencing--- and it is truly amazing how real all of their emotions feel. There was a point in the book where I swear I was heart broken---and then there were times I felt so happy for them that I cried.

Anyway, enough of my rambling....If you have not read the books...stop what you are doing right now....and go get them. I promise you will thank me later.

ps- The song playing in the background is "Never Think" by Robert Pattinson {Edward Cullen}. If you have seen the movie---this plays while they are at the restaurant in Port Angeles. There is about a 1:30 intro--then he sings :) I am pretty sure he is perfect . I mean my husband is perfect.

UPDATE: pps- It seems that there is a 5th segment to the series that is posted on Stephenie Meyers website. It is story from Edward's point of view and was it not quite finished yet. You can read all about it here.

{Sunday Snapshot} Amy c/o 2009

I had the pleasure of doing a Senior Session for Amy a little while back, and I think they came out so awesome! You may remember Amy from the group of senior girls I did a shoot for back in the summer, and she was just as much fun by herself as they were as a group! We had some cold weather and wind to fight but we were able to make it all work and get some great shots! I hope you are having a great Senior Year Amy!

**I will be running a special through the end of the month on Senior Portraits. Any sessions booked by February 1st to take place during the month of March will receive a free 8x10 or {2} 5x7s {A $50 value}.**

{Sunday Snapshots} 01.18.2009

On January 2, 2009 I had the privilege of shooting at the Portsmouth Assembly's Debutante Ball at the Waterside Marriott. The Ball was a wonderful end to the 2008 Debutante season, and the girls' families did an amazing job of making it an evening to remember.

This is a very special event for all the young ladies because it is the final celebration of the season that is meant to introduce them to society as a woman. Each of the girls looked absolutely stunning and they were so much fun to work with! Here is a quick collage I put together of some of the highlights of the ball. I hope you all enjoy them!

The entire event can be seen in the proofing section of my website, www.danaduncanphotography.com, by using the password: debutante.
